AMBER
KIRCHNER
Amber graduated cum laude from Kennesaw State University in May 2019, earning her B.A. in Dance with a concentration in modern. During her undergraduate studies, Amber performed original works by Daniel Gwirtzman, Andrea Knowlton and Lisa K. Lock. Many of these works were selected to perform at the American College Dance Association (ACDA), including the ACDA National Conference at the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. Amber also traveled to Tel Aviv, Israel, where she studied Gaga and Repertoire of the Batsheva Dance Company, under Ido Gidron and Kelvin Vu.
Amber is currently a company member with SOMOS under the direction of Angelita Itzanami Andrade, Bautanzt Here under the direction of Nadya Zietlin, and a freelance dancer in the Metro-Atlanta area. Amber has danced professionally with companies including the KSU Dance Company, Atlanta Lyric Theatre, Dance Canvas, Dance Aegis, and Watershed Dance Theatre. Within these companies and freelancing, Amber has worked with choreographers such as Tsai-Hsi Hung, Patsy Collins, Nadya Zietlin, Angelita Itzanami Andrade, Dana Woodruff, Ashley Chasteen, Ricardo Aponte, Andrea Knowlton, Lonnie Davis, Rachel Truitt, Christina Massad, and Simone Stevens. In a review from ArtsATL, it was written “Kirchner especially has a dynamic, can’t-look-away stage presence.” Along with being a professional dancer, Amber is also a dance instructor and choreographer.
