
Erin Dutton

Company Dancer
Erin Dutton (she/her) is from Northern Virginia and has just Graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University, located in Richmond Virginia, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance + Choreography. She has performed in faculty and guest pieces, including works by Scott Putman, Autumn Proctor-Waddell, Eric Rivera, Trebien Pollard, and Norbert De La Cruz III. She has also studied under Shen Wei and debuted his original work at the American Dance Festival (ADF). Erin has performed multiple times at the American College Dance Association’s final concert. Erin has attended intensive programs hosted by ADF, Gaga Lab NYC, RUBBERBAND, and Gallim. She recently traveled to Italy with Staibdance to learn from George Staib, Anna Bracewell, Leah Cox, Sarah Hillmer, Nimrod Poles, Oliver Robertson, and Gavreil Spitzer.
In Atlanta she has worked with Dance Canvas and Graham Shelor. This is Erin's first season with SOMOS. Outside of the studio, Erin finds inspiration in cooking, sculpting, yoga, and the special magic of a disco ball. Erin plans on pursuing a career with a performing company where she will continue to study contemporary and modern dance, while also finding time to deepen her improvisational practices. She hopes to continue her explorations of the intersections of food and dance in her future works.
