Gabriela Chauta

Company Dancer

Gabriela Chauta is a dancer based in Kennesaw, Georgia. In her young adult years at Dance Dynamics Studio in Macon, Georgia, Gabriela studied ballet with Kathryn Ginaldi, hip hop and artist development with Nicole Delecia, contemporary and jazz with Allison Swinson, and tap with Airianna Tauanuu. Along with the learning at her studio, she took extra ballet classes with Alice Sheridan and was a part of the Nutcracker for three years under her. Now a senior at Kennesaw State University, Gabriela is completing her Bachelor of Arts in Dance with a modern concentration. As a dance major at KSU, she has worked under choreographers such as Andrea Knowlton, Autumn Eckman, Caitlin Gray and Lior Lazarof. Through her college experience she has been involved in both stage and film works and performed at the Microsoft Building Launch choreographed by Caitlin Gray. Outside of Kennesaw, Gabriela is a part of the collegiate program with ALA Dance under Atarius Armstrong and is a SOMOS dance company member under the direction of Angelita Itzanami Andrade. Gabriela has also taken classes from teachers such as Cherrise Wakeham, Danni Heverin, Bubba Carr, and Aaron James at Xcel Studios in Atlanta. Along with taking class in Atlanta, Gabriela was a dance extra in FOX television series Monarch, was a part of a dance film directed by Bubba Carr and assisted by Danni Heverin and was a dance double in the Disney television series Just Beyond. Gabriela, along with dancing herself, has taught and choreographed at surrounding studios in Georgia and Florida such as Carla’s Dance Factory, Constellations Dance Academy, Dancentre South and Dan & Company Studios. Through teaching, choreographing, and dancing herself, Gabriela continues to find new ways to love the art form of dance.
